Canadian artist Gene Duplantier, whose illustrations grace the pages of several classic saucer publications, was the editor of the UFO magazine Saucers, Space and Science. In The Night Mutilators, he presents a round-up of cases up to 1980. This book contains plenty of unsettling details about various abduction and mutilation incidents, culminating with the incidents in New Mexico, around the Dulce area, as investigated by researcher Gabe Valdez.

Gene Duplantier was the editor of UFO magazine Saucers, Space and Science. In The Night Mutilators he presents a round-up of cases covering the period up to 1979. It would have been interesting if some had been presented in more detail, e.g. the case of fifteen children, seven pigs and two cows vanishing from a farm in Barcelos during a UFO flap in Brazil. Plenty of unsettling details of various incidents, however. The 60 page booklet culminates with incidents in New Mexico around the Dulce area, as investigated by Gabe Valdez. Despite the presence of clostridium in one case mentioned, the overwhelming impression is that UFOs/aliens were responsible. International reports include a couple from England, the mutilations of eight animals at Newquay Zoo in March 1979 and a case where a UFO was seen with a cow in a cage. Various photos of reported UFOs at night, plus photos of reported UFO landing sites are included in this interesting booklet.
