Amazon is developing an all-new drama series “Conan” based on the “Conan the Barbarian” books by Robert E. Howard. The new series is created and written by Ryan Condal and will retell “the classic character’s story via a return to his literary origins.”
Miguel Sapochnik (“Game of Thrones”) will direct with Warren Littlefield, Fredrik Malmberg and Mark Wheeler executive producing alongside Sapochnik and Condal.
The good and the bad is that creator/writer Condal previously wrote Hercules, starring Dwayne Johnson (ouch) but director Sapochnik is known for the “Battle of the Bastards” episode of “Game of Thrones” (Nice!)
We’ll let you know once we hear more on this new on Amazon “Conan the Barbarian” TV series. Until then, let us know how excited you are below.
